The Arkansas Softball Hall of Fame was established in 1999 by a group of players, coaches and sponsors. It began as a Men’s Hall of Fame but Women were added several years later. Each year, our volunteer committee meets to select the Men’s and Women’s inductees. We have no collected stats, so we rely on people nominating worthy individuals and providing us with a Bio of that person’s softball career. We usually only want someone who has retired from play or is in the latter years of a career. The committee then sorts thru the nominees and selects by vote 6-7 Men and 6-7 Women each year. We accept players, coaches, sponsors, directors and umpires as all are big contributors to the sport. To nominate someone, email the bio to sachar@sbcglobal.net
Each year we have an Induction Ceremony, for both men and women, during the softball season. Most have been during the Busch tournament but we try our best to find a great venue and date that makes it fun for both the inductees, friends, family, and supporters.
